Who are our volunteers and Staff?

Our volunteers/staff are women who have a passion for loving, teaching, and serving  women of all backgrounds. 


The safety of our residents is our number one priority. This means anyone interested in serving must complete the attached volunteer application or employment application and a criminal background check.

Orientation and training are required prior to serving.

Job Description

 Recovery Support Staff walk alongside women in recovery and lead by example. They encourage and support women as they heal and are restored. Recovery Support Staff will be hired by the director of Love Moved First as employees both full-time and part-time as needed. Requirements are as follows:

  • Have transportation to and from work
  • Provide proof of personal health and auto insurance
  • Pass a criminal background check with no pending legal issues
  • Must be substance-free for at least five years (random drug test will be administered)
  • Produce a high school diploma or GED for file
  • Provide a copy of a physical in the last six months with no chronic conditions
  • Must agree to some flexibility of hours within the agreed upon full-time or part-time hours
  • Commit to following all LMF policies and procedures
  • Receive an evaluation before the end of the 90-day probationary period and again in six months, then annually thereafter
  • ALL supervisors must be present for staff meetings, either in person or by Zoom weekly.

Duties include but not limited to:

Hours 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM (Clock in and out)

  • Arrive 15 minutes early to communicate with staff and review residents’ charts
  • Be able and willing to administer medication to residents
  • Transport residents to work, doctor appointments, church etc.
  • Assist with dinner and clean up supervision
  • Greet and assist community group leaders and assist with class setup
  • Turn off lights at designated time: check all locks
  • Check rooms at 9:30 PM and 10:30 PM
  • Receive night worker and communicate any issues
  • Other duties that might be assigned by the Director, Case Manager or House Coordinator
  • Oversee study and chore duties of residents

11:00 PM to 7:00AM (Clock in and out)

  • Arrive 15 minutes early to communicate with staff and review residents’ charts
  • Be able and willing to administer medication to residents
  • Check rooms between 2:00 and 3:00 AM; observe camera monitors
  • Be available for any residents with sleeping or other problems
  • Turn music on at the designated time; Have coffee ready
  • Assist with breakfast or other duties as assigned by the director
  • Communicate with staff any issues that have arisen during the night
  • Other duties might be assigned by Director, Case Manager, or House Coordinator
  • Log in resident files /daily log as needed
